Stressful events not only cause depressive symptoms, but also greatly exacerbate existing depressive symptoms. The chronic unpredictable mild stress model is one of the widely used animal models for simulating stress in human life. The stress model is closer to the pathogenesis of human depression, which is durable and stable, and is an ideal and reliable animal model of depression.
Our company has extensive experience in stress modeling and behavioral assessment. We are committed to providing customers with high quality animal models that can stably simulate human stress, and provide reasonable model analysis indicators to provide customers with a complete set of solutions in the research of related diseases.
The chronic unpredictable mild stress model was established by chronically administering experimental animals a variety of mild and unpredictable stress stimuli, resulting in a decrease in the animals' preference for sweetened water. The chronic unpredictable mild stress model uses the detection of pleasure deficits as the key to successful modeling and is a more realistic simulation of life, work stress, and other major depressive symptoms that humans encounter in their lives.
We take rats as an example and subject them to chronic, unpredictable mild stimulation for 20 days. The rats were treated with one stimulus each day from the daytime and nighttime, in a randomized order, without consecutive repetitions, so that the rats could not anticipate the appearance of the stimulus.
