Introduction of The Eight-Arm Maze
The eight-arm maze is a device consisting of an identical eight arms radiating from a central platform, each with a food offering device at the end of the arm. The experiment assesses the spatial cognitive memory ability of experimental animals by analyzing their feeding strategies. In addition, it is widely used for cognitive memory test evaluation because it can be used to distinguish short-term working memory from long-term reference memory.

Experimental Procedure
- Experiment preparation
After the experimental animals adapted to the environment, they weighed and fasted for 24 hours.
- Acclimatization period
Food was placed in each arm and in the center, and the test animals explored each area of the maze for 10 min per day for 2 d.
- Training period
Food was placed at the end of the arm and the animal was fed freely for 10 min per day for 2 d;
Food was placed on 4 randomly selected arms, and animals were fed freely, and the test was terminated after eating or 10 min, twice a day.
