Job Description
We are seeking senior scientists with a specialty in mitochondrial diseases regulators-related drug discovery, development and manufacturing, especially in the area of diagnostics, target development & model development, drug screening & drug delivery systems development, drug development & preclinical research, and mitochondrial analysis.
Candidates are expected to have extensive work experience in relevant pharmaceutical companies/CROs.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the research team in mitochondrial diseases regulators-related drug/therapeutics development.
- Obtain in-depth knowledge of the disease targets of interest.
- Supervise, mentor and cross-train other scientists within the drug development group.
- Troubleshoot and remove issues hindering the successful development of drug/therapeutics.
- Present project plans and ongoing progress regularly.
Qualifications
- PharmD or Ph.D. in cellular and molecular biology or biochemistry is preferred. Ph.D. in other related fields is also considered.
- A minimum of 2 years of work experience in relevant pharmaceutical companies/CROs.
- Proficiency in mitochondrial diseases research and drug development.
- Proven ability in project design and management, and capable of leading an R&D team independently.
- Ability to multitask and contribute in a challenging intellectual environment.
