Antigen Preparation Service
Obtaining high-quality antigens is one of the key factors for the success of antibody development. Our company can provide a variety of antigen preparation services, including peptide antigens, protein antigens, and DNA antigens, to help you make progress in the development of rare disease antibody therapies.
Two Characteristics of Antigens
The design and preparation of antigens are very important in the production process of antibodies. Antigens are the premise for the preparation of high-quality antibodies. To effectively produce vaccines and antibodies, antigens must have two characteristics:
- Immunogenicity: antigens can induce immune responses in the immune system. Good immunogenicity can stimulate the body to produce humoral and/or cellular immune responses, thus producing antibodies.
- Antigenicity: antigens can have specific reactions with the antibodies or effector cells they produce in vivo or in vitro.
Protein antigens typically exhibit a more accurate conformation when compared to other forms such as peptides or DNA. Therefore, when a protein sample needs to maintain its natural conformation for testing purposes (e.g. development of neutralizing antibodies), protein antigen immunization is typically preferred. In cases where researchers encounter difficulties with full-length protein expression or require specific detection conditions, they can opt for alternative approaches such as using antigenic peptides or DNA.
Our Services
Antigens are key molecules that trigger immune responses, activate immune cells, and induce antibody production. Antigen preparation services are widely used in the diagnosis and therapeutics of rare diseases. Our company has a variety of antigen preparation platforms to meet your needs for different types of antigen preparation.
- Peptide Synthesis
Synthetic antigenic peptides offer numerous advantages for polyclonal or monoclonal antibody generation and as components of peptide vaccines. These polypeptide antigens possess strong specificity, are easy to prepare, and can enhance antibody production more effectively.
